Tiny plankton like things ALL over my tank & whats a good reef magazine?

I have these tinyy little white bug like things allover my tank..are these coedopods or whatever? and are they good to have? Also whats a good saltwater mainly reef magazine to subscribe to?

Sounds like pods of somekind. You can look at this link Xtalreef It should show you common hitchhikers. Im not sure about the magazine.

Good link. If you can post a pic, I'm sure someone here can pinpoint it closer (huge number of species get called "pods"). That said, I agree with red. They are probably copepods and good to have. They tend to come and go during the maturation of a tank.

from that link they seem to be copepods. they are allover my sand and glass and they seem to "jump" when they move. i wish i could get a pic but they are wayyy to small for any camera i have. thanks guys. any advice on a magazine?

You're reading the best magazine out there. No ads to waste your time and all the info right at your fingertips. I've bought subscriptions to FAMA (Freshwater and Marine Aquarium) which is now Aquarium Fish International and it's OK but I think the advice is pretty skewed sometimes and very basic. Like when the title says "special chiller issue" and there's a 3 page article that just talks about temperature regulation, no details on this type and that type, product comparison, nothing. Worthless. Stick to us man!!
