watchmen goby and red banded pistol

I just bough my first fish, a watchmen goby. with him i bough a red banded pistol shrimp who is very tiny about 1/2 in and the goby is maybe an inch. so far once i put them in I have not seenthe shrimp at all, is this normal? the goby is swimming around so he seems fine

congrats! post pics now plz =]

but yes this is normal for the shrimp to hide, you probably wont see much of him, just listen for clicks every once in a while.

whats odd is the watchman swimming out in the open, they're usually shy, but i wouldnt think much of it.

haha great, thanks fish man . So this morning i woke up and went to look at the tank, i noticed one of my blue hermits was dead(my smallest and favorite one ) and the tank was near the watchmens lair(sounds cool lol) so i assume he killed it.. he is doing great, he even ate food i dropped in today but my pistol shrimp is MIA and i havent heard any clicks. Do you think the watchman ate him too??

oh okay because i saw either the hermits body or his molt in front of the goby and im positive it was from the blue hermit due to the blue legs. all my other crabs are much bigger than the pistol. think they will be okay? i wish i took a pic of him before putting him in the tank but he is extremly small about 1/3 an inch maybe less

It was likely a molt, I'll bet. You might go weeks, or maybe even months before you see that shrimp. Not unusual at all.
