That`s a pretty odd looking fish on the last pic. LOL. Looks like a pretty nice upgrade.

Make sure that stand is rated for that tank. Once you start adding LR you are going to add another 50+ lbs to it.

SUPER cute puppy! I want one :p

The stand was rated for a 55g high i think not a 55g long, so im sure itll be ok, its pretty sturdy

i can see its going to take quite some time for the water to un-cloud

So how long does it take the water to clear from the live sand being poured in. I put 70 pounds of it in about 10 hours ago. But the band news is im using a 55g hang filter til my Fluval 405 comes. And it isnt clearing up much, does it take 24-48 hours to clear up?

I'd still be concerned about the stand. You've got a few inches from either side of the actual stand that will have no support other than a piece of plywood. Those ends can start to buckle and lead to disaster. A 55 standard is longer than a 55 high.

And love your helper. ;)

so be it, i found a new stand for 59.99 im worried too

sand settling took forever for me, definitely shouldve washed it first, but that wouldve killed the "live" part and my money wouldve been wasted

Sorry i havent updated the thread in a while. Ive been busy and my new power heads and filter hasnt arrived today so deffinetly tommarow. Ill update more pics when I get them. BTW my coral beauty angel is a coral muncher and she must go.

So i have a couple questions..
1) im starting to see little air bubbles on my LR any idea what could be causing it?
2) does the sand harden after a while or was it because i didnt rinse it that when hermits walk on it causes slight cloudiness, on that note after a few PWC with PH it will that remove alot of the dust?
