24 3W LED's over a 20 gal tank

I am ordering LEDs from rapidled.com and I was wondering if 24 LEDs would be enough to grow SPS

I'm thinking of doing LED over my new 10 gal, How do you figure what driver you need?

Any constant current driver will need 12 leds to prevent damage . Dimmable drivers can use less but to maximize the led 12 is usually a ball point figure and them being 3 w each

exactly and you can adjust the voltage and currents that are being pushed through them meanwel drivers

But how many do u need to grow SPS

one LED per 16-18 square inches of surface area. over a 20g all you really need is about 20 but the kit comes with 24 and you can always switch if you decide to go to a larger tank
