75 gallon tank lights

Im going to order Two 250 watt MH . Do you think i Should go with two 55watt pc or two vho.

If you are going to do retrofit,

2 96 watt pc actinics will be brighter

If not, I would go with the VHO

I like VHO actinic much better than PC, but it's definitely a personal preference. For many years, only VHO's offered a "true" actinic spectrum bulb, where it was not available in PC's. I think recently a "true" PC has been developed; make sure you look for that if you are looking for actinic supplementation.

Maybe someone here can point out how you can tell the difference ... I'm not sure.

AFAIK, the true actinic PC's are labeled as "Actinic 03" and the blue ones are either just called blue or are marked as 7100K. The PC true actinics aren't really all that blue...more of a washed out violet color.
