I am in the process of upgrading my 40 gallon tank to a 90 gallon glass. I have already purchased the 90 gallon with a corner overflow. The corner overflow has 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" bulkheads.

What should my flow rate be and do I have any constraints due to the bulhead size. I was thinking a Mag pump at 1200 gph. Is that to much? My head height at 4' should not be much of an issue.

Any input and/or advice is appreciated.

My first question for you would be to ask are you setting up a reef tank, FOWLR, or FO tank??
I have a similar setup at 90 gallons except bulkheads are 1" and 3/4", on a reef tank, and I use the Mag12. What I've done is on my return line I'v added a T in the plumbing, with a valve and tubing to dump any excess flow back into the refuge.
