? about having crabs as cleaners

i would like put some crab cleaners with some shrimp my first question is it ok to put crabs and shrimp ina tank 2gether? my other question is do the crabs grow out of there shells and you would have to put a bigger one in the tank so they can have a new home?

i havent started the tank yet but i would like to start it in about 2 months after i do my research(its a 55gal) TIA

Hermits do outgrow their shells. Either place larger empty ones around for them or they may kill your snails or other hermits for new homes. Don't forget to add snails to yur cleaning crew.

Otherwise, crabs and shrimp are OK together, each having different duties.

You can get shells at your local craft store or Walmarts - craft section. Just boil them before you add them to the tank.
