When you get coral (not polyps because I know they come like this) do they typically come attached to a rock? Do you have to epoxy them to a large peice of rock or is it ok to just kinda sandwich what they are attached to into my existing rock work?
Im asking because I will be moving in 8 months and I couldnt imagine how to move it when all of the rock work is epoxyed together like a big puzzle.

Thanks, Brian

Most corals will come attached to at least a small piece of rock. Some frags could come unattached though. You don't really need to epoxy the rock all together, but make sure any corals are in a sturdy location, just wedging them into the rock work could lead to a fall that might damage or even kill the coral.

so, I should just make sure they are really anchored good. Maybe I will epoxy them to a "custom" shaped rock that will fit really good in the crevises (imagine a live rock "spike" of sorts).

Thanks for the advise again,

Brian
