adding plants and seaweed

Is it ok to get some plant and seaweed and add to my tank/ i live on the water and can get it easily. I only have 1 rock in the tank and 2 fish.

Not really preferable. In the right conditions, macro algaes can easily take over the tank growing wildly and become quite a nuisance.

What kind of lighting do you have on the 25 gal (?) tank. Might look alot nicer with some swaying soft corals.
