adjusting aqua c skimmer

I can not find the book to my skimmer, I have the larger model. ( I am sure I put it in a "good" place) I forgot if raising the collection cup by lowering the O ring will increase or decrease the skimming. I need maximum skimming right now. TIA!

raising the cup by lowering the o-ring will decrease the skimming, it puts more distance between the riser tube and the bubbles.
