I’ve started to get some pretty bad algae in my reef. I’m still attempting to get rid of the hair algae I have and then I see this stuff. I’m about 80% sure this is cyano, it comes off in sheets. Only thing is it’s grey in color so maybe it’s something else, idk. Are there any decent products that can get rid of this in addition to water changes? Did I identify it correctly? That's cyanobacteria. There are several different colors of the gunk. Just increase flow in the area. Check your parameters to make sure they are in line as well.
