Alkalinity

I am doing my regular water testing and noticed my alkalinity was at 11.5 which is to high. My calcium checked at 440. If I only dose calcium, will that help bring the alkalinity down or will it even effect it?

Don't touch anything, water changes will bring it down over time. What's your Mg ?

Do you use RODI water for salt mixing ? It may help dropping KH overtime.

Alkanity between 7 and 11 dKH is okay. I would not worry too much about it cause like Vincent says it will just settle down with regular pwc.
