I've been feeding less, my protein skimmer is taking a bunch of stuff out. I've been doing lighting a bit less

But all in all, I'm not too sure what all this different kinds of algae are

Seems like a flow issue. How many powerheads do you have?

It takes wks - months to fix that problem. whatever you are doing keep doing it.

I agree. It didnt start over night and it wont go away over night.Have you tested your PWC water to make sure you are not adding ammonia and nitrates.

How big is your tank?

Never a bad idea to increase flow (to an extent)
