Yea the purple is more of a tanish Green

From what I've seen of them, the purple tends to turn to green,as it ages, it sounds normal. I would only worry that it's dying, if the edges start to recede, or it starts to bleach out.

It was bleaching when I got it and I trimmed the sides off ingot it for like 10 bucks because of that
