Any Experience with Pearly Jawfish?

Well, it`s been over 16 months since setting up the tank and it took me this long to finally pull the trigger on getting a Jawfish.
Im just wondering:

The first two days it was very active in exactly the way I expected. Just like I saw in those nature TV programs. But today, DAY 3, the burrow looks complete but the only sign of the fish I saw all day was just it`s face a couple times near the opening. Are they known to stay down in the burrow for long periods of time?

Everything is cool. The critter is out and active today.
