Anybody using a Bak Pak or Bak Pak 2, or other HOB skimmer

I know this may seem stupid and it probably is, but I wanted to share my lesson for the week.

I bought a CPR HOB refigium and I was concerned about the weight hanging on my tank. I did some research on their forums and found the advice and importance of leveling both skimmer and fuge.

I eyed my Bak Pak when I set it up and never considered to check. When I setup the fuge, I used a level to check both and it was way off.

Anyway, 2 days later I can't believe how much better the Bak Pak is working. Dark smelly and much more than before, not to mention quiter.

So, if anybody is using the CPR Bak Pak use a level and the results will probably improve a lot. Just another one of those little things that make a difference. Hopefully it will help someone.

Sweet I dont have a bak pak but I'm going to check my Remora to see if I get the same results!
