Anyone have experience with a Catalina Goby? I read they like cool temperatures but can be keep in 78-82 water. I was thinking of getting one. Anyone have pros or cons on them?

I am interested in this as well. I have been looking at them but did not know if they were suitable in normal reef aquariums.

Actually you shouldn't consider this type of fish unless you set up a "region specific" tank based on it's requirements. 78-82º is actually far too warm for this species, more like mid 50's. A chiller is usually a must with this kind of endevour.

Maybe not 50's but not much higher than the upper 60's... 78-82ºF is way too much for this goby. I would not buy it/them if you are going to put your Zebrasomas in your tank. Like stated before this is a cold water fish, not a tropical...

Homero
