Baby Star Fish

I have a Marble sea star and I think it has given birth to a number of babies. Thats because I can see tiny little ones about 0.5cm wide crawling all over my LR and glass and their appearance resemble to my Marble.

The question is, how do star fish reproduce and how many off springs are likely? I can see about 8 to 10 babies around. There might be more, but not sure if any had been eaten as snacks! And is there anything I should do to keep them healthy or away from potential attacks?

Starfish don't actually have "babies". They reproduce asexually by splitting. What you more than likely have is a species of very small startfish, you can search these forums for discussions on them. Here is one such discussion including a picture. It will help you know if this is actually what you have.
