Bio Wheel

I am going to be setting up a 10 gal QT tank so I can start getting fish for my tank. I have a Penguin 100 bio-wheel filter for the QT tank. Should I set the whole thing up and run it on my sump to seed it or can i just take the bio-wheel out and toss it in my sump for a week?

I would seed the biowheel in the sump, if it is easier, just run the filter on the sump.

I would say to run it on the sump would probably be best.
