So what is the final word on these unsightly worms? Bad? Indifferent? I don't see them in the main display case (I have three wrasses that probably would eat them) but they definitely have established a presence in my refugium. I see them when cleaning. The ones I see are about an inch or less. Any cause for concern? If so, recommendations to remove or reduce their population? Thanks

Great guys to have. Not just a member of your clean up crew, they show you if you are feeding too much. Their size is directly related to how much you feed your tank. As the only 'fireworm' is super rare, the only massive ones you will end up seeing are from overfed tanks that end up with parameter issues.

Oops I have quite a big one ? probably 3 inches long but I only feed 1/4 cube shrimp once a day..... For clown goby mandarin
