Bubble algae & a dead coral frag

Hello all! My five month old tank has taken on a nasty clear/brown/green bubble algae. I think it may have killed one of my turbo snails...not sure. But I also had a dead coral frag in my tank. It was a trumphet coral that died...as in all of the neon green went away and it just withered. Could the dead coral had been causing this bubble algae? Or what causes this nasty bubble algae? Please let us know how we can get rid of it. I already have an emerald crab.

Other than emaralds to control it, and picking them off one by one without popping, there's not much else you can do. Bubble algae is a pain because it can thrive on very little nutrients. You can starve it from lights for days at a time and you'll still see them. Just try to keep the water as close to perfect and start picking away.
