Can RO mixed saltwater go bad?

i may have rushed things and filled up my aquarium with RO water-mixed with kent reef salt mix.
However live rock/sand is not going in my tank for another week or two. if i keep the (empty) sump running will the water be okay?

Also, should i be running the skimmer? (it doesn't seem to be collecting anything yet)

Yes, just keep it moving. There's nothing for your skimmer to remove without a bio-load.

You'll be better with the aged saltwater than with freshly mixed water. You're 100% fine. Keeping the skimmer on will simply aerate the water at this point (another good thing). Once your rock is in it'll slowly begin to do it's job. With saltwater, slower always... always... trumps going faster. Keep taking your time with your tank and asking questions and you'll have an amazing tank. You could always read a book on saltwater husbandry while you wait for your rock. Build the anticipation and your knowledge!
