Can water be cooled

Friends of mine have just started a marine tank and are on a hot little island in the Adriatic... its really hot and they are wondering if there is a way to keep the water cool?

most people have a fan blowing across the surface of the water. It will increase evap but usually cools the tank pretty well.

Chillers are the answer to keeping the water cooler. They will set you back a bit of money though.

A chiller is the answer. If not a fan across the top of the water

Agreed chillers are the expensive alternative. However, you would be amazed at how much a fan can bring down tank temps..

Peace.
