Anyone using this? which is from "International Salt" says it is 94-96% pure Calcium Chloride.

If so, is the amount a direct replacement for DowFlake?

I believe that is imported from China. AFAIK, no one has tested it for impurities like the DowFlake was tested. I wouldn't use it.

Dow is the manufacturer of QuikJoe Ice Melt and Prestone Driveway Heat, so if you can find either of those, they are OK.

Doing some searching I've found some who are using it with no ill effects. Some that aren't so sure. I just can't find Prestone in bulk (yet anyway). Just the small $10 jugs.

I guess there is one advantage to the upcoming winter months after all
