Chaeto floating now?

My Chaeto has been sitting at the bottom of my fuge sense I added it months ago and now literally in the last few hours just started floating.

I did some quick searching and people have said theirs either floats or sinks. I'm just wonder why the sudden change? Does this mean anything??

Maybe it's dirty and oxygen bubbles are trapped in pockets of it?

You should actually throw a powerhead in the sump, you want chaeto to tumble, not just sit.

It doesn't need to tumble it just needs good water flow through it.

I agree with not needing to tumble. I have it underneath my 60 and 240 and it grows just fine in both. The bottom does not die off due to lack of light as I have heard some people mention either. I think that is the thought behind tumbling it. I just use a shop light with a regular bulb. Nothing fancy. I also do not have a pump to push water through. I just use the natural flow that the return pump creates.
