I purchased a used 100 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank and was wondering what is the best way to clean it completely. I was planning on using it to cure live rock then after that to keep saltwater premixed.

The seller I purchased it from was unsure of what if anything it was used for before as it was left over in a house he purchased.

If there is no way of cleaning it completely please let me know that also as I did not spend that much on it.

thanks for the advice

Not sure what you mean by "stock tank" but if you are refering to a standard rubbermaid bin (?), then I would be kinda wary. There is no true way to steralize plastics properly. That said though and strong water/bleach solution soaked for a few days should get rid of most contaminates. Just be sure it is well rinsed afterwards and sundried for a few day-week.

Considering what they cost (if plastic) I'd buy a new one.

Cheers
Steve
