Cleaning filter

Hey guys how do I clean my filter like what should I do? Here is what is in my tank

Only carbon gets replaced. Everything else rinsed out IN tank water. Just swish around. Once month.

So do I siphon some tank water an rinse it out?

I rinse/squeeze sponges in Old tank water weekly, I got rid of the ceramic rings an have chemipure instead of regular charcoal and change the chemipure every 2-3 months. The chemipure also gets rinsed very well every week in old tank water. I also run purigen and phosguard. The purigen can be recharged and reused per directions when it turns a brown color.

Purigen is better than Carbon. Removes "gunk" in water column. Solids. I use it too

Stability is beneficial bacteria. You don't need it unless cycling. You can add alittle at each WC

My LFS gave it to me to use because my nitrites came up and do you just add it to the filtration set up?

Purigen ? Yes . Just put the bag in there

He's talking about the stability but same answer really though. It doesn't need to be in the filter, just in the water is fine

Ill go get some tomorrow maybe do you think a skimmer is worth putting on a nano?
