Is it stuck on the rock? When you wave your hand/PH/net over it, does it blow off? Is it slimy? I ask because I have snails that leave that slime trail and some sand gets stuck in there making it look like a fungus on the rocks.

That definitely sounds possible. I two huge turbo snails all over the place...Tx!
