Copepod question

If I add copepods to my refugium/sump that has rocks and chaeto growing in it:
1. Do I have to feed them anything, or will the algae be enough food for them?
2. Will they increase my bioload for my tank?
3. Are there any cons of having copepods?
4. Will they increase my nitrate levels?

for question #1, are you saying "no" i do not need to do any supplemental feeding in addition to the algae or "no" the algae is not enough food for the copepods?
