Coral and Base Rock

I have a 45 gal that is just about finished cycling. It has about 10 lbs of base rock and 20 lbs of live rock. Once I get to the point that I start adding corals is there any reason why corals can't be located on the base rock?

I'm not great with coral but your base rock will become live rock so I don't think it matters

You can place your corals on the base rock or live rock or the sandbed. Wherever is best for the coral.
