Coral Compatibility

Are there any hard and fast rules as to which corals can be housed in the same system? I want to roughly approximate an ecosystem that would occur naturally. Are there any problem with housing button polyps, trumpet, mushrooms, and nepthea in the same system? if these are compatible, any corals to avoid with this mix, for future stocking?

No you should be OK just make sure you give them plenty of room. Just do your homework on corals

I have a mixed reef and everything is doing great. Just make sure to give your corals enough room to grow without touching eachother.
