Just wondering , if coralline algea start to grow, is that a good sign?
Maybe this a bit funny, tank was running over a yr and half, my coralline algea never grow, it might due to the fact that 2 of my urchins are eating them.Last night found some coralline algea start to grow on the glass near powerhead, just wondering if it means my tank's condition is good.
thanks

Coraline growth is certainly a good sign. Maybe you tank is just matured to a point where you can produce new coraline algae growth faster than the Urchins can eat it :)

coralline growth is related to calcium and alkalinity levels in the tank (though calcium is the major contributor)

oh maybe thatz why, i started dripping Kalkwa last week, and it start to grow.

If the Kalk drip kicked it off so quickly, you tank has probably been Ca deprived for quite a while. How often are you doing water changes? Do you test Ca/Alk?
