A Friend of ours is giving us a couple of frags of his corals. I was wondering if there was something I should be doing to it before putting it into our tank. I know the procedure for acclimating it, but I'm not sure if it should be dipped or cleaned before putting into ours?

Inspect it for any nusence algea beacause got sum frags and it had alot of bubble algea

i dip my corals in coral rx before adding to my tank. Takes about 10 min and helps get off any nuisance pests like flatworms and/or some nudibranchs.

You can also take a small container with your saltwater and drop half a capful of melafix in and dip them for five min....it gets rid of what others don't my lfs uses this technique as do I
