Crab Question

I went to my local petco yesterday and they have lr. I was looking over their lr and saw a 3/4 inch crab! I decided to by the rock he was on and a few others for a total of 6.06 pounds. This I added to my 12.5 pounds I allrady have. It looks good. My question is how can i get him to come out of hiding if I dont know where he is? It is weard because my crab and pepperment shrimp I bought 8 days ago have been all over the lr but the new one wont come out! Thanks for any comments or Advice!

What type of crab is it? Most hitchhiker crabs are not aquarium safe.

Anyway, the crab probably comes out at night, go check then with a small flashlight

Last night I looked for 45 minutes with just my 15w antic light on and no other lights on it the room. I am pretty sure I saw him for sale online as "Reef Safe". I will try to find a pic. somewhere online. Thanks
