You can remove the goby or run a HOB filter filled with floss (thats what i do) The floss will polish the water rinse it in your old tank water that keeps the bacti base alive.

I have a hard time believing that a fish has caused a storm of sand to such a magnitude lasting days.
Is there a powerhead in the tank? I don't see one.

Mine made a mess of my tank The sand was new but rinsed after running the HOB for about a month the clouds stopped I think it just removed the silt that the goby was stirring up. JMO.
