i want to add current to my aquarium via a pump called the "powersweep" by zoomed. is this a good pump and which size should i get for my 80 gallon aquarium?

I would recommend a couple of maxijet 1200s. The power sweep has a very bad reputation for not sweeping, also the sizes leave something to be desired IMO.

The exactplacment is going to be up to how your tank is aquascaped with rocks and such. Ideally you want to place your PH's so you have good water circulation in and around the rocks as well as providing good surface agitation.

Where the PH's and how many you need will kind of be based upon your tank layout. I like to have two PH's blowing toward eachother as this often helps create a good random current where the two streams of water colide.
