I use it and my fish and corals love it. I don't think it would be a substitute for pods though.

I use Liquid Life Marine Plankton with Cyclop-eeze. My fish and corals love it, especially my Copperband Butterfly.

Just be careful when using it. It can degrade water quality. A very little goes a long way.
