Cynarina Coral Placement

Hello,

I recently just purchased a cynarina coral. Should I place it on the substrate or is the rock ok?

I dont have much experience with Cynarina, but i know that other corals with exposed skeletons like my plate coral like to be placed on the sand. That being said i have seen them in both places, just make sure it has some space between it and other corals as it can expand double or triple its normal size once acclimated.

Substrate. With the massive expansion those things do, you don't want the tissue constantly rubbing on the rocks as it expands and contracts. It won't like that.

Actually, most placements in the wild are upon rockwork with some findings within the fine silt/mud layers.
