Do I need to quarantine corals

Hi guys
never heard about it since corals don't get "sick" with ich for example. But should I put then on my quarantine tank ? Let's say the water where they were before is contaminated and they come with ich parasites. I never use any water that they come in but if the water is contaminated, they are contaminated, all right. Does a coral dip process works?

No point in qt corals unless you're quarantining for pests. Lps corals don't get many pests but zoanthids, acropora, montipora have some really nasty pests. In bigger systems with lots of mature coral I'd say a coral qt is definitely with it. But for most tanks that aren't filled with stuff dipping is fine. No need to worry about ich on corals.
