Does anyone donate to fish related organizations?

I am already a member of the world wildlife fund but was considering joining another group. Does any one belong to the Ocean Alliance, Ocean Conservancy or the Coral Reef Alliance? Or do you belong to another cause that is worth looking into. What do you think about belonging to groups like this?

I think it is very important to look beyond the literature, to make sure that your monies are being put to the cause instead of being "lost" in officials pockets.

That may sound cynical, but I have seen too much of this kind of thing and it is disappointing.

That is not to say that causes are not worth supporting, on the contrary, there are very worthwhile causes, just make sure that they use your money wisely.
