Dosing idea....

This is a wierd concept but since I don't have a doser do you think it would work to freeze the ca/hydro into individual ice cubes and add one at a time? It isn't going to hurt water temp because they would be so small. What do you think? As of now I have just been adding a tiny bit every 30-60min. Eventually I will get or make a doser when I have time and money... this is just temporary.

Why bother when you can build a plastic bottle doser for almost free. It may not be pretty but it works. I used one until I bought a 1 gallon rubbermaid water dispenser for Kalk dosing.

well I don't have anything to sit the bottle on really. I don't have a canopy yet for my tank... if I did that would be fine. I was looking at short term really.
