I have about 2 inches of play sand now i want to add about 2 more what kind of sand should i get im not even sure whats in there now also how would this effect my bio load thanks

You want sand that is about the same grain size as sugar. Most prefer an aragonite based sand like CaribSea's aragamax, or Southdown Tropical play sand. It won't effect your bioload provided you do not add more than 1/2" per week until the target depth is reached.

I have a 125 gal tank, 6 ft long. Can you make part of the tank a sand bed, or do you have to do all of it. I have crushed coral and shells in it now about 3-4" deep.
