I finally got my RO Unit installed a day or so ago. It came with a TDS meter. I checked the RO water...It read 20ppm...but I wasnt really sure how good that was. So I checked the water coming out of the fridge...734! I got busy and didnt get to check the tap. So anyone who questions why we preach RO water so adamently, thats why....the difference in RO and Tap is the same as the difference in tap and river water...Its just not as obvious!

FWIW, 20 ppm is a little high for RO. Did you get a DI cart too?

Oops thought you said fridge water was 134 not 734! 8O Isn't anything over 500 supposed to be illegal?

In that case your RO unit is doing a great job.. A DI cart might reduce it even further (if you don't have one already).

I went from 7-8 to a 0-1 when I added a DI cartridge.
