Feather Duster.

Does any one else have a feather duster that's nocturnal. Is this strange behavior for the species

I have four of them...they all come out at times and close up at times, but not necessarily depending on the lights on or off. The only thing I can think is if you have really strong MH and the feather duster is close to the top.

As I'm sure you know, these are not photosynthetic, so the light shouldn't matter too much.

No, it's under power compact and in the sand bed. I have 3 other one's as well and this is the only one that does it. It is strange

I dont think it is strange. He`s just coming out to feed. I have several in my tank and they come out all times of day.
