Feather Dusters taking over

Feather dusters are taking over my tank. 210 gallon tank that is 18 months old. Brown feather dusters are now covering approximately 80% of my live rock. Is there anything I can do to control them?

I have found out they will die out as the food source dwindles down. I had them all over the tank at one time and then they finally died off.

How old is this tank? What are you feeding the tank? DTs? or another type of phyto or filter feeder food?
