feeding an eel?

Hi everyone!

These are probably silly questions, but I'll ask anyway. I have a green moray eel...about 8 inches long. He shares the tank with a huma trigger, lionfish, and dogface puffer.
I use a feeding stick, and I give him three or four "sand eels". But he still seems really hungry.
The store I bought him from was feeding him live rosies.
My questions are, what is the best food for eels? And exactly how much should I feed him?

i wouldnt feed rosies ! id go with silversides and or some shrimp ! i feed mine everyother day about 2-3 shrimp
