Can I buy a live starfish, cut all the legs off and freeze then so I can feed the shrimp once a week or so? Will that take thawed frozen dead starfish limbs?

Don't know about frozen limbs, but I do know that cut off limbs work.

Ya she's chowin on a leg right now, I just stuck the star in another tank. I'm assuming it'll live....

It should. Starfish regen legs all the time. When I first started I talked to a guy who had one and fed his harlequin's off of chocolate chip stars that he had in his sump. I want to say he had 5-10 of them.
