Hi! Just wanted some advice on keeping flame angels as I think they are beutifall fish, I have a 40 gallon tank is this suitable? And are they compatible with Clownfish cleaner shrimp and blue legged hermits? Also what food is best for them?

Hi a 40 gallon would work, and they are compatible with those fish! Im sure you know already that they are hit or miss in reefs so i wont get into that. They prefer meaty foods like bloodworms mysis etc, and most eat pellets too. They are also graze in the tank so provide Nori

I had a dwarf angel once it nipped every coral in my tank ate all my xenia down to stumps

Well in its defence i hear that xenia is mighty tasty;) lol jk

But ya, that is definitly the risk factor in tgis fish..and the reason i have held off on buying one. It can be done for sure, but i'd hate to get attached to a fish, and all my reef just to have to break it down and try and catch the fish!:(
