I have a 90 gallon reef aquarium. I have to head back to work today (oil field) and while doing a water change, I dropped 4 gallons of water onto my wood floor. I soaked it up with towels but it was already leaking fairly fast in the basement. I have two fans blowing up from in the basement and two fans blowing in the aquarium room. I also put a 4' long 4x4 and 2x4 across and under the two legs that were in the damaged part. I plan on putting some more wood on the spot on the basement side when I get a chance to come home (probably 10 days). Will it be ok until I get home? My fiance is pregnant and can't really do much.

You might try sprinkling some kitty litter to soak up the water. I would certainly lay down a carpet with a rubber backing. It can at least absorb some minor spills.

I use white rice dump it on the wood floor and cover it with a towel let it sit for a day then sweep it up ..
