foaming protein skimmer

i have a 1 week old reef octpus nw-150-6530b skimmer it just foams over it sits in about 7 inches of water i cannot adjust the bubble level has anyone had this problem?

You need more air coming into it...

It should have an air intake thats connected to the motor

What do you mean it foams? Take a picture.
I believe they are supposed to be in slightly deeper water than 7".

Theres a red wheel on it that controls the air intake. Make sure its opened up by loosening it.
